March Performances

Stuck Elevator excerpts
Byron and librettist Aaron Jafferis have spent the past week collaborating on Stuck Elevator, a chamber opera about the Chinese take-out guy from Happy Dragon Restaurant who was trapped in an elevator for three days.

This is just the beginning of a series of research, writing, and rehearsal workshops to create this new opera. Special thanks to the Asian and Pacific Islander/Artist Presenting Initiative (API/2) for support.

Eventually, Stuck Elevator will be a multi-media extravaganza with a fancy aerial set, elaborate designer costumes, and heated audience armchairs, but for now it's just Byron on stage with a plastic bag.
